Nijefurd

( Listen? / I ) nijefurd is a former municipality of the province of Friesland (Netherlands). It has 10,971 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2010). Since January 1, 2011 Nijefurd is part of the newly formed community Súdwest Fryslân.

The council is based in Workum, the other places in the municipality are: Hemelum, Hindeloopen, It Heidenskip, Koudum, Molkwerum, Scharl, Stavoren and Warns.
