Nik Antropov

Nikolai Aleksandrovich Antropov (Russian Николай Александрович Антропов; born February 18, 1980 in Ust- Kamenogorsk, Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh professional ice hockey player who is since August 2013 in the Barys Astana in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Nikolai Antropov was selected during the NHL Entry Draft in 1998 in the first round as a whole tenth players from the Toronto Maple Leafs. First, however, he moved for a year in the Russian Super League for HK Dynamo Moscow, after he had passed through the youth ranks of Torpedo Ust- Kamenogorsk. In his first two seasons in North America Antropov played both for Toronto in the National Hockey League, as well as for their at that time the farm team, the St. John 's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League, then only in the NHL.
