Nike T40 T55

Nike T40 T55 is the name of a three-stage sounding rocket, consisting of a Nike starting stage, a high school type T40 and an advanced level of type T -55. The Nike T40 T55 has a takeoff thrust of 217 kN and a length of 9 meters. It was in 1956 and 1957 total used in the years only twice by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics ( NACA ) for re-entry attempts.
