Niki & The Dove
Niki & the Dove is a Swedish Elektropopduo from Stockholm.
Band History
The musician Malin Dahlström was in a dance band and had a solo project named Disdishdance before they met in February 2010 to Gustaf Karlöf and merged with him to Niki and the Dove. Just a few months later, they released their debut single DJ, Ease My Mind while British label Moshi Moshi, which was well received by critics. There was a label change to Sub Pop Records and the first EP release ( The Fox ), which further increased its notoriety. In the newcomer prognosis Sound of ... the BBC for the year 2012 they reached fifth place.
In spring 2012, Niki and the Dove released their debut album Instinct in Europe and the United States. In the UK and her native Sweden, it could be placed in the official charts in the U.S., it was listed in the Heatseeker charts. In 2013 they were awarded with the European Border Breakers Award ( EBBA ).
