Nikica Maglica

Nikica Maglica ( born January 26, 1965 in Brčko, Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian football player. Since December 2013 Maglica football coach of the DFC Meissen.

Playing career

Maglica began his career in 1988 at Proleter Zrenjanin. Here he played four seasons. 1992 he moved to NK Zagreb, where he remained but a short time. So he signed on 7 December 1992, a two-year contract with Dynamo Dresden. Here he first came not used because of the German Football Association did not agree to the transfer due to the high debt of the club. Also in the 1993/94 season he was only in the second half of the season to 10 missions in the Bundesliga. Previously failed his commitment to the rule that one team only three foreigners were allowed to be used. In 1996 Maglica to local rival Dresdner SC, for whom he played until 2001. After three seasons at OFC Neugersdorf 2004 he returned back to the Dresdner SC and played there for one year up to end of his career as an active soccer players in 2005.

Since early 2012, Maglica plays without salary for the 1.FC Radebeul in the county league Meissen.

Coaching career

In the 2007 /08 season was Maglica Jan Seifert assistant coach of the second team of Dynamo Dresden, two months later, under Matthias Maucksch. Maglica Maucksch and topped with the second team on the league and won the Sachsenpokal. Then Maglica was a year later in October 2009, assistant coach of the first team alongside Matthias Maucksch. With the replacement of Maucksch as head coach Ralf Loose by 12 April 2011 also Maglica was on leave.

In December 2013 Maglica became the first men's team Dynamo soccer club Meissen. This at that time was in last place of the Dresden city league C.

Private

Nikica Maglica lives in Dresden, is married and has two daughters.
