Nikita Korovkin

Nikita Sergeyevich Korowkin (Russian: Никита Сергеевич Коровкин; born April 12, 1983 in Zlatoust, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with HK Vityaz from the Kontinental Hockey League since 2013.

Career

Nikita Korowkin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Taganai Zlatoust, from where he moved to HC Traktor Chelyabinsk, for the second team, he was active in the third-class Perwaja league in the season 1999 /2000. Then it drew the defenders to North America, where he worked four years in the Canadian Junior Football League Western Hockey League for the Kamloops Blazers and the Tri -City Americans active. He was then obliged by the San Diego Gulls, for those in the ECHL, he was on the ice from 2004 to 2006. In the season 2004/ 05 he also came two appearances for the Syracuse Crunch in the American Hockey League.

The 2006/07 season began with the Phoenix Roadrunners Korowkin in the ECHL, the franchise but left after only six missions already back and the Russians spent the entire rest of the season in their league rivals Pensacola Ice Pilots. For the season 2007/ 08, the right-handed shooter returned after seven years in North America in his native Russia, where he HC Traktor Chelyabinsk received a contract with his former club in the Super League. There he came in his first season in professional hockey in Russia a goal and three assists in 32 games. Was taken as the HK tractor to the 2008/09 season in the newly formed Continental Hockey League, was Korowkin regular in Chelyabinsk.

In 2011 he moved to Vityaz Chekhov and completed in the following season KHL 39 appearances for his new club. For the following season, he was engaged by Amur Khabarovsk, before a year later returned to HK Vityaz.
