Nikolai Aseev

Nikolai Nikolayevich Aseyev (Russian Николай Николаевич Асеев; * 27 Junijul / July 9 1889greg in Lgow, .. † July 16, 1963 in Moscow) was a Russian poet and literary critic.

Assejews is overall assessed as representative of the Socialist Realism; his later work is heavily influenced by the privations of World War II.

His first publications from 1913 to 1914 were under the influence of symbolism; then he turned to by Velimir Khlebnikov and acquaintance with Vladimir Mayakovsky Slavic mythology and Futurism. After the October Revolution, his poetry was revolutionary- romantic traits. In the 1920s Aseyev was one of the key figures of the artists' group Left Front of the Arts ( LEF ).

Aseyev also created adaptations of Russian foreign-language poetry, the poems of Mao Zedong (1957).

He received the Stalin Prize (1941 ), the Order of Lenin and the Red Banner of work.
