Nikolai Ruzsky

Nikolai Vladimirovich Russki (Russian Николай Владимирович Рузский; * 6.jul / March 18 1854greg of 1854. . † October 18, 1918 in Pyatigorsk ) was a general of the Russian army.

Life

Russki was 1896-1902 Deputy Chief of Staff of the Kiev Military District and during the Russo -Japanese War Chief of Staff of the 2nd Manchurian army. On March 29, 1909, he was appointed general of the infantry and took the lead in the 21st Army Corps.

At the beginning of the First World War he was commander of the 3rd Army of the Russian Southwest Front under command of General of Artillery Nikolai I. Ivanov in Galicia.
