Nikolay Yegorovich Makarov

Nikolai Makarov Jegorowitsch (Russian Николай Егорович Макаров; born October 7, 1949 in Glebowo, Ryazan Oblast ) is a Russian officer. General of the Army was on June 3, 2008 to November 9, 2012 Chief of Staff of the Russian armed forces.

After 1971, the General Officer School graduated from Moscow, Makarov was used in subsequent years in the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany ( GSFG ) as a platoon leader, company commander and battalion commander.
