Nils Johansson (ice hockey b. 1938)

Nils- Rune Tommy " Nicke " Johansson ( born July 24, 1938 in Örnsköldsvik ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player.

Career

Nils Johansson began his career as a hockey player in his hometown when Alfredhems IK - renamed in 1963 in MoDo AIK - for the first team, he was from 1958 to 1970 in Division 1, the then highest Swedish league, and the second-rate Division 2 active. In 1964 he won the Guldpucken player of the year in Sweden. From 1970 to 1975, the counsel for the Färjestad BK ran on, in which he then finished his career at the age of 37 years.

Internationally

For Sweden, Johansson took part in the Olympic Winter Games 1964 in Innsbruck and 1968 Grenoble. At the Winter Games in 1964 he won the silver medal with his team. In addition, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1962, 1963, 1965, 1967, 1969 and 1970. During the 1963 World Cup he won with his team the gold medal. As the best European team Sweden was also European champion. In addition, he won at the 1965 World Cup with his country and the bronze medal at the World Championships in 1963, 1967, 1969 and 1970 respectively the silver medal.
