Nils Turesson Bielke

Nils Turesson Bielke ( born November 5, 1569 Hörningsholm, Sweden, † December 17, 1639 ) was a Swedish statesman from the noble family Bielke, member of the Imperial Council.

Career

Nils Turesson Bielke, son of Ture Pedersson Bielke, was an ardent supporter of Duke Charles, the 1602 Kansliråd, appointed him deputy director of the Empire. In 1605 he became governor of Tallinn and the province, in 1606 a member of the Imperial Council and in 1608 judge. In addition, he and his brother raised to the rank of baron.

Treaty of Knäred

He was Swedish delegate during the negotiations preceding the Peace of Knäred 1613 after the Kalmar War.

Judge

In 1614 he was assessor of the Svea hovrätt in Stockholm. In 1623, the first president of the Court of Appeal in Turku and governor of Finland

Nils Turesson Bielke married in 1605 Ingeborg Oxenstierna and had with her eight sons:
