Nina Zhivanevskaya

Nina Alexandrovna Schiwanewskaja (Russian Нина Александровна Живаневская; * June 24, 1977 in Samara ) is a former Russian and Spanish swimmer now.

Life

Her first big international success she succeeded at the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, when she won the bronze medal with the 4 × 100 m medley relay the CIS. After the 1996 Olympics, she was detained for doping before she returned to competitive sports in 1999 and from then on for Spain, the homeland of her husband, started. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, she won the bronze in the 100m backstroke. In the same year, she also was able to win the title over 50 m, 100 m and 200 m backstroke at the European Championships.

In 2008 she was at the Mare Nostrum meeting overall third parties.
