Nir Biton

Nir Biton (born 30 October 1991 in Ashdod ) is an Israeli football player who has a contract with Scottish club Celtic Glasgow. He is captain of the Israeli U -21 national team.

Career

Association

Nir Biton debuted at the end of the 2008/09 season in the Ligat ha Al for his youth club FC Ashdod. Its use under coach Yossi Mizrahi against Beitar Jerusalem should be the only remain in this season. From the following season 2009/10 he fought for a place in midfield for FC Ashdod. After five seasons with the club from the Mediterranean city Biton joined the club. He signed a four -year contract with Celtic, after it was bought out by the Premiership club from his contract at FC Ashdod.

National

After his debut in the Israeli U -17 Junior National Team in 2008, followed by more games for his country in the U -18 and U-19 in the following year. Since 2010 Biton is an integral part of the Israeli U -21 national team, he led them as captain at the U- 21 European Championship in 2013, which was held in their own country. In addition to the debut in the U -21, the defensive midfielder in 2010 was to present for the first time in the A- team. His debut celebrated at Banco República Cup at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo ended the 1-1 to the hosts.
