The Nis (Cyrillic Нишава ) is a river in Bulgaria and southern Serbia.

The source is located below the summit of the mountain Kom (2016 m) in the Stara Planina in Bulgaria. After 50 km, the Nis crossed the border into Serbia at Gradina, flows through Dimitrovgrad, Pirot, Niš and flows north-west of Niš in the Southern Morava. The total length of the river is 218 km, and the catchment area of ​​3950 km ².

The Nis flows through some gorges, one of which of Sićevo ( Sicevacka klisura ) is the best known.
