Nishi-ku, Kobe

Nishi -ku (Japanese西区, dt " West District " ) is a municipality ( ku ) of Kobe. It is 137.82 km ² of area with the second largest of nine in Kobe.

Geography

The district is adjacent to the west of the Rokkōmassivs and includes part of the eastern end of the Banshu level, adjacent to the city Akashi and extends to the city Miki. Nishi -ku which is slightly away from the city center, offers them apart but good quality of living, plenty of space and lots of green.

Traffic

The Seishin - Yamate Line of the subway of Kobe Seishin extends to the satellite city, crossing which is also applied in the 1980s university and residential district Gakuentoshi.

Education

In Nishi -ku situated next to the University of Hyōgo Prefecture and the urban foreign language high school Kobe four other universities or colleges.

Attractions

Attractions are the temple Taisan -ji (太 山寺) and lying on Honshu part of the newly opened Akashi Kaikyō National Government Park north and south of the Akashi - Kaikyo Bridge.
