Nisroch

Nisroch is mentioned in the Old Testament deity, was slain in the temple in Nineveh Sennacherib king of Assyria in 681 BC by his sons ( 2 Kings 19:37 EU par. Isa 37,38 EU).

Extra-Biblical, he is known as a man who was raised to the status of God and has thereby received the head of an eagle.

It is not yet able to interpret the name and function of the deity satisfactory. Some bring him in contact with the Mesopotamian god Ninurta.

In John Milton's Paradise Lost Nisroch is a prince or leader of fallen and rebellious angels.
