Nitscha

The community Nitscha 1450 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) is located in Eastern Styria, about 28 km east of Graz. From 1 January 2015 it is affiliated context of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Gleisdorf, Labuch, Laßnitzthal and Ungerdorf. The new church will carry on the name " track village".

Geography

Nitscha located near the city railway village in the district of Weiz. There is a recreational area for the adjacent city.

Community structure

The municipality comprises the following four localities ( in parentheses population as of 31 October 2011):

  • Arnwiesen (161 )
  • Gamling (199 )
  • Kaltbrunn (345 )
  • Nitscha ( 738)

The municipality comprises the cadastral Arnwiesen, Gamling, cold Brunn and Nitscha.

History

The first mention of Nitscha dates of March 8, 1403. On this day of Archbishop Gregory of Salzburg the tithe of Niedern - Nitschau ( Nidern - Nitschaw ) as well as the wine and Getreidezehent of Gleisdorf prescribed the Niklas zinc and his son on lifetimes.

In 1952 a merger of the municipalities Kaltenbrunn and Arnwiesen well as Gamling with Nitscha. 1967 created by the merger, the current community Nitscha.

Since the local elections of 2010, the municipal council shall consist of:

  • ÖVP, 12 mandates
  • SPÖ, 2 mandates
  • Green, 1 mandate

Mayor

The mayor Peter slate took over in the summer of 2003, the Office of Lorenz Spielhofer.

Coat of arms

Coat Description: From red and gold quartered diagonally, against constantly from the columns in confused colors forward two pairs of apples and leaf sprigs, backward two pairs of grapes and vine leaves bursting forth.

The award of the municipality coat of arms came into effect on 1 May 1999.

Economy and infrastructure

Agriculture is focused on fruit and wine. Three Inns ( Gh mountain host, Gh Gh Kaltenbrunnerhof pint and Schuster ) and four taverns ( Maurer, Ramminger, Schantl, Seyfried ) have Nitscha increasingly as a recreation area of the village or track Graz. Due to the easy accessibility Nitscha is frequented strengthens both in summer and in winter.

Nitscha is increasingly developing from an agriculturally structured to a residential community. The proximity to the cities of Graz (30 minutes drive ) and Vienna (90 minutes ) help. The majority of the population commutes to work by rail or village of Graz; in the town itself there is a joinery and a Hafnerei. Direct-marketing farmers, wine taverns and inns have teamed up to nature tour Nitscha.
