Nives Meroi
Nives Meroi ( born September 17, 1961 in Bonate Sotto, Bergamo Province) is an Italian mountaineer.
Nives Meroi is one of the best and most successful high altitude climbers inside. Since 1989 she is with her constant climbing partner, the mountain guide Romano Benet, married. As a team, they gradually developed into extreme mountaineers and are also at the eight-thousanders of the Himalayas invariably go together. Lives are in Fusine Laghi, a small town of the Group Fusine, community Tarvisio, Udine, Friuli- Venezia Giulia.

Women in the eight-thousanders
With the ascent of Manaslu in 2008 Nives Meroi has achieved its eleventh eight-thousanders. This makes it one together with the Polish woman, Wanda Rutkiewicz, the Austrian Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner, the Spaniard Edurne Pasaban and the South Korean Oh Eun- Sun 's most successful high-altitude climbers inside the world.
In order to have climbed all eight-thousanders, are still missing Annapurna, Makalu and Kanchenjunga (as of July 23, 2011 ).
