Nixon Chepseba

Nixon Kiplimo Chepseba ( born December 12, 1990 in Cherepes Village, Kerio Valley) is a Kenyan middle distance runner.

Sports career

Like many other successful Kenyan runners visited the Chepseba Patrick's High School in Iten, where he was coached by Brother Colm O'Connell. He had his first international use at the Junior Africa Championships in Mauritius. There he immediately won the silver medal in the 1500 meter race.

His international breakthrough came Chepseba in the 2011 season. Among other things, with victories at the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix and the World Class Zurich, he won the overall title over 1500 meters in the IAAF Diamond League. In 2012, he increased his personal best at the Herculis Monaco on 3:29,77 m. He ran as the third- fastest 1500 - meter runner of the year for the Olympic Games in London, ranked there but only a disappointing eleventh place.

At the World Championships 2013 in Moscow Chepseba fourth.
