Nizam's Guaranteed State Railway

The Nizam's Guaranteed State Railway ( NGSR ) was the railway company of the Indian princely state of Hyderabad. The route network had a length of 560 km in 1905, to 1923 it was expanded to over 1460 km, 1930, reaching 1992 km. The company was taken over in 1951 by the Central Railway, since 1966, are the routes of the South Central Railway, both state-owned enterprises of the Indian Union.

Establishment and financing

The Nizam has appeared in 1861 in the district of Raichur from areas to the British to build the railway line in the district of Raichur. Routes and management
