Nizerolles

Nizerolles is a commune with 338 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Allier in the Auvergne region; it belongs to the administrative district Vichy and the Canton of Le Mayet -de- Montagne.

Geography

The municipality is located in the countryside Montagne bourbonnaise, around 20 kilometers east of Vichy. Neighboring communities of Nizerolles are:

  • Isserpent in the north,
  • Châtel -Montagne in the east,
  • Le Mayet -de- Montagne in the south,
  • La Chapelle in the west and
  • Molles in the northwest.

On the western boundary of the parish of River Jolan the Besbre runs, on the eastern border. The department runs road D7 - Le Mayet -de- Montagne coming - right through the municipal area on a ridge which forms the watershed between the rivers Jolan and Besbre. The place Nizerolles itself is about five kilometers northwest of Le Mayet -de- Montagne, in the valley of Jolan, at the mouth of his right tributary of the Ruisseau Mits.

Economy

The economy of the commune is mainly agricultural, but Nizerolles is also the seat of the company group Nizerolles Systèmes ELECTRONIQUES (NSE ), which was founded in 1983 by François Lacoste. The NSE group, which employs 700 workers ( including 240 abroad), is mainly concerned with the development of electronic and mechanical components for the aerospace and defense technology sectors. Outside of Nizerolles there are branches in Abrest, Riom and Clermont- Ferrand, as well as in Hungary, Morocco, Canada and Brazil.
