Nizhny Novgorod railway station

The Moscow Railway Station (Russian Московский вокзал, officially Nizhny Novgorod - Moskovsky, by 30 March 2010 Gorky Moskovsky ) is the main railway station in the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod million. It belongs to Gorkier Railroad, a regional branch of the Russian State Railways.

General

It is a through station on the Trans -Siberian Railway. Several night trains run daily to Moscow to Kursk, Kazan and Yaroslavl railway station. In addition, there are direct connections to Adler, Ufa (via Samara ), Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg, Vorkuta, Astrakhan, Simferopol and St. Petersburg ( As of October 2007).

Location and ticket purchase

The station is located on Ploshchad Revolyutsii (Russian Площадь Революции, Revolution Square ) on the west side of the Oka River. The tram 1 and some Marschrutka lines connecting it to the city center. The nearby metro station Moskovskaya ( Московская ) is the transition point between the two existing metro lines. A stop for long-distance buses leave for Moscow, Kostroma and Kirov is around the corner in the Sovetskaya Street ( Улица Советская ).

When booking tickets and schedule information is to be noted that the train station in the German HAFAS is listed as Nizhny Novgorod ( Gorky Moskovsky old name ).
