Nizki Island

Nizki Iceland is a 5 km long island in the middle of the Semichi Islands, a subgroup of the Near Islands in the far west of the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. To the west lies Alaid Iceland, from which it is separated by a sandbar. In the east Shemya Iceland lies with the small islands Hammerhead Iceland and Lotus Iceland, from which it is separated by the Straits Shemya Pass.

The name comes from the Russian word meaning " flat" what the topography of the island describes well, because the highest points of the island are Jones with a height of 51 m and 47 m with Jack.

On Nizki Iceland and the adjacent Alaid Iceland brooding again about 1000 pairs of the previously almost extinct Aleutian Canada goose ( Branta hutchinsii leucopareia ), a subspecies of the Canada Goose dwarf.
