NK Celje

NK Celje is a football club from the city of Celje and plays in the first division of Slovenia. The club colors are blue and yellow. Their home games carries out the team in the Arena Petrol, which is 13,400 spectators. Some other Slovenian clubs use this stadium also for performances in the UEFA Cup, and UEFA Champions League, as it is considered one of the few stadiums meet the international demands of UEFA.

History

1919, the club was founded as SSK Celje. In 1946 it was renamed NK Kladivar. In 1991, the club was renamed to NK Celje audience. Since 2007, the club NK CM Celje is called.

Celje is next to NK Maribor and ND Gorica one of three clubs that belong to the top league in 1991 continuously in the country since independence in Slovenia. His best finish achieved Celje in the season 2002/ 03 with rank 2

The greatest success, however, the club celebrated its national cup, where he reached the final seven times and in 2005 against ND Gorica won his only previous title with a 1-0 victory.
