NK Croatia Sesvete

NK Croatia Sesvete is a Croatian football club based in Zagreb.

History

The club in 1957 as Sljeme, a mountain of the same, to the foot of which there was the sports complex was founded. Until 1988 they played in different Yugoslav leagues under that name before the club got the name of the district Sesvete. From 1996 to 1997, the largest spirits company in Croatia sponsored the club and therefore he acted in this time as NK Badel Sesvete. After the expiry of the sponsorship agreement epithet was re- painted and since 1998, eventually called the club NK Croatia Sesvete.

The greatest club success was achieved in the 2007/ 08 season with the rise in the first Croatian league.

Stadium

The stadium SRC Sesvete is located in the homonymous district and holds 3500 spectators. It consists of a tubular steel stand, which is now more than just dilapidated. Croatia Sesvete one of the clubs who have to restructure and modernize definitely in the next few years, they want to meet the new requirements of the Croatian Football Federation for the second division. These conditions were established from 2006, according to which UEFA.

In the Erstligasaison 2008/ 09 the club was the home games at the stadium NK Zagreb.
