NK Slaven Belupo

NK Slaven Belupo is a Croatian football club from the town of Koprivnica in northern Croatia.

History

The first football club in Koprivnica was founded in 1907 by students. Between 1912 and 1926, the club went on under the name NK Slaven and was still the only club in the city. Due to financial problems the club had to cease the operation of gambling for several years before it was resumed in 1945.

As of 1992, said the football club NK Slaven Bilokalnik, named after the company Bilokalnik, which sponsored the club. New main sponsor and namesake was the Croatian pharmaceutical company Belupo in 1994. Since this year the club colors are blue, white and red.

Since 1997, the club was founded in 1915 plays in the Croatian football league in the first HNL. The stadium Gradski of NK Slaven Koprivnica Belupo holds 3,400 seats. In 2007, Slaven Belupo qualified as inferior Cup finalist the same year for the first time for the UEFA Cup. In the following years, the club established more and more as a fixture in the first HNL.
