No More (band)

No More is a band from Kiel, which was founded in 1979. The band's roots lie in the early Post-Punk-/No-Wave-Umfeld.

History

No More was founded in Kiel in summer 1979 by Andy A. Schwarz (vocals, guitar, bass), Tina Sanudakura ( synthesizer ), Christian Darc (drums, vocals) and Thomas Welz (bass, vocals). The first release of No More was the 7 " single" Too Late " in 1980 and was included in a laundry room and the adjacent basement rehearsal room. Welz After Thomas left the band in late 1980, No More worked until the end of 1983 as a trio.

The song " Suicide Commando " published in 1981 ( and not to be confused with the Belgian band Suicide Commando, which are named after this song ) is so far the biggest success of No More. The New Musical Express described the "Suicide Commando " in 1981 as "suitable German electro fashion", but the song popular genre and scene across in the following years. In the 1990s, discovered him techno and electro fans for when he was remixed by DJ Hell and Echo Park.

Published in 1982, the No More 10 "mini- LP" A Rose Is A Rose ". The New Musical Express seemed the music of people to have been made, " who SEEM to have fall out of Lou Reed's Berlin album. " After " A Rose is A Rose " No More went new ways. the new style was a mixture of darkwave and oriental elements. then went to No More extensive tours through Germany and the Benelux countries. After a short collaboration with bassist Yvonne Pfeifer, came in 1984 Thorsten Hartung joined the band.

The end of 1986, according to the recordings of the album " Hysteria", decided No More, to go separate ways. Tina Sanudakura and Andy A. Schwarz form after separation project Nijinsky style that moves somewhere between chanson, waltz and tango.

2006 release No More in the cast Tina Sanudakura and Andy A. Schwarz on the compilation album " Remake / Remodel " first new songs. Since late 2008, No More reenter live on and publish in 2010 and 2012, the albums "Midnight People & Lo -Life Stars" and " Sisyphus ".
