Noah (grape)

The Noah is a white grape variety, a cross between Hartford x Taylor, whose parents are descendants of the species Vitis labrusca and Vitis American riparia. She was bred in 1896 by Otto water Zicher. The hybrid vine has only a slight Fox sound like the typical Erdbeerton means. In the Austrian Burgenland Noah is often included in the local specialty Uhudler.

This vine belongs to the genus of direct carrier or self- support called because it does not have to be upgraded. It is resistant to phylloxera and other diseases, and is also referred to as ungrafted.
