Nobutaka Taguchi

Nobutaka Taguchi (田 口 信教jap, Nobutaka Taguchi, born June 18, 1951 in Saijō ) is a former Japanese swimmers.

At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972, he won the first gold medal for Japan in swimming since 1956. He was Olympic champion in the 100 m breaststroke and thus drew three Americans on the following places. After the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976, he finished his career. In 1987 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
