Once it reaches the East Timorese Suco Malelat, it forms the border between Indonesia and East Timor.

From Suco Malelat from now Rio Kusi -called river flows in a northwesterly direction at the boundary of Sucos Banafi and Lela Ufe - along, before it reaches the Suco Usi taco. The river bends sharply to the southwest and flows on the border of Sucos Beneufe along. Just south of the village Lamasi he bends again towards the northwest. The river widens now forms river islands and tributaries. Just south of the village Naktuka divides the river. While the left arm, thereby forming several lakes, to the north- west flows to the Savu Sea, bent right arm to the northeast. Both arms are crossed by the northern coastal road that lead through the right arm while two bridges. This arm runs between the towns of Oehoso and Manan on the right side and Naktuka on the left, another river islands and several tributaries forming, through to open a little later also in the Savu Sea.
