Noel Neill

Noel Neill ( born November 25, 1920 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an American actress who is best known for her role as Lois Lane in Superman first actress movies.

Film roles

Noel Neill was the first actress who represented the role of Lois Lane in cinema and television. She was in movies Superman ( 1948), Atom Man vs.. Superman ( 1950), as well as in seasons two and six of the series Superman - to see knights in shining armor ( 1953-1958 ) ( in the first season Phyllis Coates was the actress).

In 1946, she starred in the film comedy College Queen in the role of Cindy Harris.

In Superman ( 1978), she had a guest role as Lois Lane's mother, along with the first Superman actor Kirk Alyn as their father. In 2006, she played Gertrude Vanderworth that the dying woman at the beginning of the film Superman Returns.

Others

2010 was unveiled a Lois Lane statue in Metropolis in the U.S. state of Illinois, which was modeled after Noel Neill.
