Nolanea

Traniger Glöckling ( Entoloma hirtipes )

Entoloma subg. Nolanea is a subgenus of the genus Rötlinge, which is divided into five sections Canosericea, Endochromonema, remote Andae, Nolanea and papillata and several subsections. Due to the hat shape of the fruiting bodies, which often resembles a bell, the species of this group are also called Glöckl Inge.

The type species is the Tranige Glöckling ( Entoloma hirtipes ).

Features

The subgenus Nolanea is very rich and varied in its appearance. The fruit bodies typically have the habit of a helmet blank ( Mycena ), they rarely remember a Rübling ( Collybia sl) or Nabeling ( Omphalina ). Microscopically Nolanea species is characterized by a Tramaaufbau of spindled and 200-300 microns long elements of the fungal threads ( hyphae ). Buckles are usually rare and can only be found in the fruit layer ( hymenium ) in greater numbers. Even sparser they occur ( Pileipellis ) in the Hutdeckschicht. In addition, the spores are never square or cruciform shape as shown in the section Staurospora the subgenus Inocephalus.

System

Section Canosericea

This section seems to form a bridge to the subgenus Pouzarella, in particular to the section Versatilla with their differentiated from cutis lying intracellularly and encrusted pigmented hyphae and voluminous fusiform cheilocystidia. In contrast to the sparkling wine Versatilia are usually present buckles.

Section Endochromonema

The name of this section refers to the predominantly intracellular pigmentation in the Hutdeckschicht. The species-rich section is divided into several subsections.

Under section Cheilocystidiata

The hat has a smooth surface. The Hutdeckschicht is a cutis of hyphae and lying on the fins come sterile items before ( cheilocystidia ).

Section remote Andae

The section remote Andae consists of a small group rather similar species. Typical is a Hutdeckschicht from a cutis with transition to a Trichoderma consisting of weakly to clearly blown- end cells with a characteristic pigmentation of encrusted walls and dark intracellular clumps of pigment in the hyphae. The transverse walls in the hyphae are schnallenlos. They usually grow on poor, acidic grassland soil in heaths and pine forests. They are considered as a bridge to the subgenus Pouzarella.

Section Mammosa

Habitus slender, usually with a relatively long stalk. The blades cutting are sterile and usually consist of abundant clavate to ( almost) capitate cheilocystidia. The pigment is intracellular and inkrustierend. Buckles on the hyphal septa are present.

The fruiting bodies of the section papillata have a slender shape. The pigment in the Hutdeckschicht is inkrustierend, sometimes in combination with intracellular pigment. Cystidia are usually not present, buckles does.

Under section Cosmeoexonema

The encrusting pigment is often coarser in Hutdeckschicht, often in Cap flesh and in the lamellae. The spores are iso- or hetereodiametrisch.
