Nonnewitz is a district of the town of Zeitz in Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ).

Geography

Nonnewitz is about five kilometers north of the city at the core Zeitz Maibach.

As a district of the former municipality Unterschwöditz was reported.

History

Bröditz was first mentioned in August 1 976 as Villa Brodici, which was donated by Emperor Otto II the diocese of Zeitz. Nonnewitz created in 1928 from the merger of three villages Bröditz, Nonnewitz and Nixditz.

Together with Döbris, Geußnitz, Kayna and Würchwitz Nonnewitz was incorporated on 1 July 2009 in the town of Zeitz. The last mayor of the municipality Nonnewitz was Ralf Schenk. He was elected on 17 February 2008.

At the federal highway 91, which connects White Rock with Zeitz, is 1.5 kilometers. From Theißen station, which is about two kilometers away, trains in the directions Zeitz / Leipzig and Weissenfels / Halle.
