Norberčany

Norberčany ( German Nürnberg) is a municipality with 360 inhabitants ( 1 January 2004) in the Czech Republic. It is 544 m above sea level. M. Or in the mountains on the northern edge of the training area Libavá. The place is located in the valley of Libavský creek seven miles southeast of downtown Moravian Beroun and belongs to the Okres Olomouc. Four kilometers south of Norberčany is the former city Město Libavá, the center of the training area.

History

The town was founded in 1456 as Nirinberg by Frankish settlers and was named 1504 Nuremberg. He belonged to the bishopric of Olomouc and came after the replacement of patrimonial 1848 District Sternberg. From 1909 Nuremberg belonged to the district Bear and 1949-2004 for Okres Bruntál. On 1 January 2005 a change in the district affiliation. The place now belongs to Okres Oloumouc.

The most striking building in the village is the church of St. Anthony. During the Seven Years' War, it came in the summer of 1758 near the village of skirmishes between Prussian and Austrian troops. The Austrians inserted under the command of Major General Ernst Gideon von Laudon their opponent between Nuremberg and Domstadtl significant losses.

At the fighting is a memorial to the fallen, to the 1999 route of the Czech-German understanding was created. West of the village stands the Golden Linde, is said to have slept under the General Laudon before the battle.

The municipality of Nuremberg had on December 1, 1930 274, on May 17, 1939 and on May 22, 1947 290 176 inhabitants. The German inhabitants were expropriated in 1945 and sold.
