Norbert Eilenfeldt

Norbert Eilenfeldt ( born February 17, 1956 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a former German football player.

Career

Eilenfeldt grew up in Essen and played as a child at the Essen district club TSG Karnap 07 As a youth he was active in Rot-Weiss Essen. At 18, he moved in 1974 to the first FC Mülheim, with whom he was in the northern group of the newly formed 2nd Bundesliga on August 4, 1974 in a 1-0 against VfL Osnabrück his debut as a professional and on Matchday his first second-division matches scored in the 1-0 victory against DJK Gütersloh. After the descent of the Mülheim Eilenfeldt moved in 1976 to league rivals Arminia Bielefeld. Here he played five years and rose in this time twice, in 1978 and 1980, with the Arminia in the Bundesliga.

For the 1981/82 season Eilenfeldt went to the 1 FC Kaiserslautern, where he also stood five seasons under contract. His first season at the " Betze " was his most successful: he stood in all 34 league games on the court and contributed eight goals to the fact that the FCK end of the season was on the fourth place. He also reached with FCK in the UEFA Cup semi-final, where he scored three goals in this competition, two of them in the quarter-finals against Real Madrid.

In the season 1984/1985 went for Eilenfeldt a "dream " come true: To return round, he was loaned to Schalke 04 in December 1984. Here he played under coach Diethelm Ferner with the young Olaf Thon and with former national player Bernard Dietz in a team. He would have liked to stay in Gelsenkirchen longer, but in Kaiserslautern former team-mate Hannes Bongartz was in the summer of 1985 coach who brought him back to the Palatinate. He played one more season with FCK and then went again to Arminia Bielefeld, for which he was employed in two seasons still 51 times in the second division. In 1988, he had to end his career due to a cartilage injury. He was chosen to mark the 100th anniversary of Arminia Bielefeld in the " century - Eleven " of the association in 2005.

Eilenfeldt then stayed with the Arminia and worked as a coach in the youth field. He was assistant coach of Bernard Dietz at SC Verl, where he worked as a youth coach in 1992 and 2008. He coached youth teams of Spvg Steinhagen in the circle League A Bielefeld. He is currently coached youth teams TuS 08 Senne 1

Overall Eilenfeldt graduated 212 Bundesliga games in which he scored 47 goals. In the second division he came to 232 missions with 63 hits. 1980 and 1981, he was four times used in the B- team.
