Norbert Sattler

Norbert Sattler ( born October 4, 1951 in Mauthen ) is a former Austrian canoeist. He won an Olympic silver medal and world championship title in the individual and team standings.

1971 won Sattler together with Kurt Presslmayr and Hans Schlecht in Merano the world title in the team standings. The following year, was held at the Augsburg ice track for the first time an Olympic competition in canoe slalom. Sattler took second place behind Siegbert Horn from the GDR. At the World Cup in 1973, Sattler could retaliate, he won the title in the individual competition before horn.

1977 at the World Championships in Spittal Sattler then won two medals; in addition to the bronze medal in the individual competition, he received along with Peter Gallagher and Edward Wolfhardt the silver medal in the team competition behind the French team. Gallagher, saddlery and Wolfhardt could repeat this success in 1979 after the British team.
