Nördliches Höllhorn

Höfats summit ( 2259 m), Southern ( 2145 m) and Northern Höllhorn

Pd2

The Northern Höllhorn is a 2,145 m high mountain in the Allgäu Alps. It lies north of the Southern Höllhorns and is separated from the northerly little savages by a shallow saddle. Together with the Southern Höllhorn called the two crags often Höllhörner. From certain points of view such as the Älpelesattel the two peaks look very similar to two curved horns.

In the Northern Höllhorn leads no marked path. The lightest increase comes from the wild- notch and crosses under the east wall of the small Wildens to the north and then executes on the north side of the summit. This way too, already requires mountaineering experience and sense of direction.

The towering directly to the saddle between Southern and Northern Höllhorn south wall represents, despite its brevity of 1 1/2 lengths of rope is a nice climb and is often committed to a commission of Südgrats the Southern Höllhorns afterwards.
