Norman Solomon (rabbi)

Norman Solomon ( born May 31, 1933, Cardiff ) is a British rabbi, lecturer and author.

Life

Norman Solomon attended Cardiff High School and St. John's College, Cambridge. In 1961 he received the Jew 's College in London his rabbinical diploma in 1966 and his doctorate at the University of Manchester.

He was rabbi of Orthodox churches in Manchester, Liverpool, London and Birmingham and president of the British Association for Jewish Studies (1994). In addition, Norman Solomon guest lecturer of Jewish Studies and professor of theology at the University of Oxford. Solomon is the author of several books on the subject of Judaism.
