White-winged Bustard ( Eupodotis afraoides )

Part of the White-winged Bustard ( Eupodotis afraoides ), within the order of the Gruiformes ( Gruiformes ) to the family of bustards ( Otididae ), is one of 24 known species Trapp.

Description

The White-winged Trappe reaches a height of about 52 cm. The distinctive feature of the male is a white spot behind the eye. In their appearance white wings Bustards are very similar to Gackeltrappen. However, the White-winged Trappe has a striking white coloration of the primaries, which is easily recognizable in flight.

Dissemination

White-winged bustards prefer to live in the jungle and in open grassy areas. The species is widespread in Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa.
