Northport is a village in Leelanau County in the U.S. state of Michigan. Northport has 648 inhabitants in an area of 4.3 km ². The population density is 150.7/km ². North Port is located on the Grand Traverse Bay on a peninsula in Lake Michigan. In North Port is also the Woolsey Memorial Airport and the Leelanau State Park. Northport was from 1863 to 1883 the county seat of Leelanau County.
