Norwegian Chess Federation

Norges Sjakkforbund (short NSF; German Norwegian Chess Federation ) is the national chess federation in Norway. The association was founded in 1914 by seven associations headquartered in Sjakkontoret (Chess office ) in Oslo. He is a member of the international chess federation FIDE, the European Chess Union and the Norwegian Puzzle Federation. The 2,400 members of the NSF (as of 2011 ) are active in 110 clubs from 16 chess circles. In the appearing since 1906 Member Newspapers Norsk Sjakkblad, which appears six times a year, information will be published to the tournaments, organized by the Association, including the National Championships for Norges Grand Prix and the chess leagues.
