Norwegian Institute of Technology

The Norwegian Institute of Technology, known by its Norwegian acronym NTH ( Norges Tekniske høgskole ), was founded in 1910 in Trondheim. 85 years it existed as an independent technical university before it was in 1996 with the General Secondary School in Norway (AVH ), the Natural History Museum, the Faculty of Medicine and the Trondheim Conservatory fused to the Natural Sciences and Engineering University of Norway.

Since the merger it is also known under Gløshaugen, after the district where it is located.
