Norwegian railway signaling
The railway signaling system in Norway is since 4 December 2001 through the regulation No 1336 to signals and signs on the state railways and attached private railway lines ( " Forskrift av 4 desember 2001 nr. 1336 om signaler above skilt på statens jernbanenett above tilknyttede private spor " ) regulated.
The first signals of Norwegian railway lines were mechanical semaphore signals, which were installed in 1893 in Drammen Station. The first electric light signals were delivered in 1924 by AEG. Nowadays, only electrical light signals are used in Norway.
