The Norwegian written languages

With the emergence of the Norwegian written language, there has been a special development. Most Norwegians use a variant that is now called Bokmål ( there is a similar, older variant called Riksmål ). This variant is a subsidiary of the Danish language, the official language has been in the past many centuries, Norway. However, a minority of 10 to 15 percent preferred the Nynorsk, which is based on the old Norwegian dialects. Nynorsk can cite linguistic, regional and national (it's less " Danish" ) arguments for themselves.
