Not That Kind is the first album of the singer Anastacia, released on 27 March 2000.

History

Not That Kind was mainly by Rik Wake ( Celine Dion, Mariah Carey ) and the team of former members of Color Me Badd, Sam Watters and Louis Biancaniello produced. Also, Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers, authors of God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You by N'Sync, were involved in two pieces. The album contains mostly modern R & B, dance and radio pieces, whereby instead of Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera rather Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner and Martha Wash served as role models.

Reception

Wrote William Ruhlmann of Allmusic, Anastacia show with this album already her " great talent ". He gave it 4 out of 5 stars. The album reached # 168 on the Billboard 200, but the number 9 Heatseekers charts in the U.S., in Germany, it came up in 2nd place, 3rd place in Austria and Switzerland it could reach the top position on the charts.
