Nothodiplax dendrophila
The Nothodiplax dendrophila is the only dragonfly species of the genus of the subfamily Nothodiplax Sympetrinae. It occurs in the northeast of Suriname. The larvae have not yet been described and otherwise the species is only very sparsely explored and described.
Construction of Imago
The brownish green marbled animal reaches a length of 32 millimeters, so it represents a comparatively small way. The abdomen is on the segments one to seven yellow, on segments eight to 10 black. The wings are transparent.
Habitat
As Habitat selects the type river with sandy soil in the eastern coastal region of Suriname. She usually sits on higher parts of trees and flies only occasionally down.
