Notes from the province was a cabaret show by Volker Kühn with Dieter Hildebrandt, which was broadcast between 26 August 1973 and November 22, 1979 on ZDF.

After the ensemble of the Munich laughter and shooting society had broken up in 1972, its founding member Dieter Hildebrandt has designed with "Notes from the province " in the same year the first regular satirical program on German television. She ran once a month every Sunday at 21 clock.
