FC Valencia

The Nou Mestalla ( Valencian: Nou Mestalla, Spanish: Nuevo Mestalla ) is a football stadium in the Spanish city of Valencia, which is currently still under construction. It is property of FC Valencia and will be the future home ground. Work began in August 2007 and should be completed in August 2010. However, due to financial difficulties of the club came in early 2009 to a building freeze. In December 2011, the Valencia was an agreement with the Spanish bank Bankia known, which allows the club to start work again. The stadium should therefore be completed in 2013 [ deprecated]. Since Bankia had come by the Spanish financial crisis even in strong oppression, FC Valencia credit in three-digit million was withdrawn in September 2012.

The arena will also be available for athletics competitions. You should at completion have a capacity of 75,000 seats and replace the current home ground of FC Valencia, the Estadio Mestalla.

The new stadium will be built on Avenida de las Cortes Valencianas in the district Benicalap on a former industrial site at the metro station Beniferri. In the vicinity is the convention center opened in 1998 and Palau de Congresos de Valencia, the Valencian Institute of Cinematographic " Ricardo Muñoz Suay " and the 20 meter high sculpture by Manolo Valdés - La Dama Ibérica.

The architects of the stadium are Reid Fenwick Asociados and ArupSport, the price for the new building is estimated at 250 to 300 million euros.
