November (Band)

November is a Swedish rock band that was founded in Stockholm in 1969 by Christer Stålbrandt, Richard Rolf and Björn Inge.

Band History

Their music is mainly influenced by the American acid rock, with influences from heavy metal and blues, and resembles a mixture of Cream, Mountain and Led Zeppelin. November began in 1968 in Tegelhögen, a youth club in Vällingby ( a Stockholm suburb ). In this club Christer Stålbrandt and Björn Inge played with two friends as The Imps. After a few months Stålbrandt left the group to a new band called Train to set up. Björn Inge joined soon after. To Train also belonged Snowy White as guitarist. In early fall 1969, Snowy decided in his native England return and Richard Rolf joined as new guitarist.

On November 1, 1969, she played as the opening act for Fleetwood Mac in the Que Club in Gothenburg and therefore they gave to the band name of November.

November was one of the first Swedish rock band with Swedish lyrics. Most of the texts were written by Stålbrandt, who was influenced by the 60's hippie movement. Despite the Swedish texts November was successful in England. While the England tours the texts were often translated into English, the fans, however, insisted that the Swedish texts were sung.

November recorded four albums, three studio albums and one live album. After their last concert at Club Domino on the New Year's Eve Party 1972 November parted. Between them, they performed together only on 30 November 1993 at the release party for their live CD recorded in 1971.

Christer Stålbrandt tried the Swedish group to establish Saga, Björn Inge joined the jazz - rock band Energy and Richard Rolf was one of the founding members of Bash.

On January 27, 2007, she reappeared together on the 20 -year celebration of the Mellotronen labels. This was followed by several appearances again.
