Nový Kramolín

Nový Kramolín ( German Neugramatin ) is a municipality in the West Bohemian Okres Domažlice.

Geography

Nový Kramolín is located on the railway line Poběžovice - about four kilometers south of Poběžovice Domažlice. In the area of Nový Kramolín there Feldspatvorkommen.

The neighboring municipalities (clockwise ) are: Vlkanov, Otov, Pařezov, Postřekov and Mnichov u Poběžovic.

History

Nový Kramolín (as well as Stary Kramolín ) is first mentioned in writing in 1379 Berna register.

1656 had Neugramatin 11 farmers, 10 Chalupner, 7 gardener, 60 teams, 44 cows, 84 young cattle, 90 sheep and 103 pigs.

1789 had 33 houses at Neugramatin Kammeradministrationsgut Stockau but of which half after Ronsperg belonged. 1839 there were 41 houses and 279 inhabitants Neugramatin. Neugramatin was the parish and enrolled after Schüttwa, but received in 1891 a school. 1913 Neugramatin counted 42 houses, 279 inhabitants, a shop and two pubs.

On the territory of the municipality Nový Kramolín the sunken village is Valtířov ( German: Walter Green).

Culture and sights

In the village square a Trinity Column is from the year 1730. Along the road to Vlkanov there is a baroque chapel and on the road to Pařezov and Otov a statue of St. Nepomuk.
